Welcome Cort Esch!

We are excited to announce our newest hire Cort Esch.  He brings over 15 years of project management experience and will serve as WorldView’s Director of Consulting Services.

Cort has been a leader and manager for most of his career, from a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy to technical manager at AOL, to project and program manager lead in the software industry. His focus has been on state and local government as well as managing consulting services for federal and commercial clients.  Cort has an M.B.A and Doctor of Science in Engineering Management.

PracticeKeeper implemented in Delaware

Delaware’s Three Conservation Districts on Board to Implement PracticeKeeper

We are excited to add the state of Delaware to the PracticeKeeper platform! WorldView kicked off its newest PracticeKeeper implementation with Kent, New Castle, and Sussex Conservation Districts in Delaware.  PracticeKeeper will streamline the districts’ conservation planning efforts and best management practice tracking all in one convenient web-based platform.

DEQ and Roger Smith

Kicking off Enhancement Project with Virginia DEQ

Today the WorldView team led by our newest project manager Roger Smith met with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to kick off the TMDL Implementation Plan Enhancements Project.  Having undergone a modernization effort in 2016, DEQ selected WorldView to return to add some new functionality and features.  It is a pleasure to continue working with our friends at DEQ on this project.

Two Henrico County High Schools Visit WorldView

Computer science students from Hermitage and Godwin High Schools in Henrico County came to visit WorldView’s offices today.  In addition to annihilating 30 pizzas, we had great presentations from our friends at the VCU School of Engineering, Outdoor Access, and Start Up Virginia.  Always great to interact and hopefully inspire the next generation!

VDOT

WorldView partners with CapTech on VDOT CEDAR

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has chosen WorldView and partner CapTech to implement several new modules and add enhancements to its Comprehensive Environmental Data and Reporting (CEDAR) application.  This application is used for managing workflow and information related to environmental impacts and regulatory requirements of VDOT programs.  This multi-year project will allow the CEDAR system to gain efficiencies in its existing programs as well as comply with new and updated regulations.

City of Norton

The City of Norton, Virginia engaged with WorldView Solutions to update the City’s mountain bike trails in the Flag Rock area of the City. The WorldView GIS team used updated field maps and GPS locations supplied by the City to perform the updates. The City originally contracted with Worldview in 2014 to map the trails using high accuarcy GPS, and we are glad to see the Flag Rock area trail network continue to grow. Newport News Cityworks Implementation

WorldView Solutions and the City of Newport News successfully migrated all Cityworks users to the latest version of Cityworks Server Asset Management System (AMS) giving everyone access to a secure, fast and modern work order management solution built on Esri’s ArcGIS for Server platform.  The City of Newport News had used Cityworks Desktop since 2004.  Along with the Traffic Engineering Division and Community Maintenance Divisions, the following divisions now use Cityworks Server AMS as their primary work order management and reporting tool:  Building Services,  Solid Waste,  Street Maintenance,  Stormwater, and Wastewater.
