In high school I was a crack cleaner. I worked one hot summer for an asphalt company prepping parking lots for seal coating by cleaning and sealing cracks with an asphalt crack torch. Best. Job. Ever.
How did you become involved in GIS?
I was first exposed to GIS as a NATO intern creating fictional wartime scenarios for experiments to test and evaluate command and control. More recently, as the Virginia Department of Corrections web administrator, I maintained and enhanced a GIS application that displayed offender data spatially. But I didn’t get full bore into GIS development until I joined WorldView.
