Using the freely distributable myMap 2.1 Viewer,users can open any ArcMap document you publish, search in specific layers, print a layout, zoom to spatial bookmarks and export your map layouts. Much like Adobe Acrobat, GIS managers can publish their maps for end user consumption in a secure, organized and cost effective manner. myMap provides the following tools, in addition to the existing features in ESRI's ArcReader software:

myMap integrates documents published in ArcMap organizes them and make them available for use in the myMap Viewer. Any number of published map files can be stored by the software (locally or via the Internet) — a list of available maps is displayed in a list box for quick access. You also specify which layers and fields can be used for myMap one-click search too. Best of all, any layers, symbols, labels, hotlinks, map tips or other ArcMap settings are available for myMap Viewer users!

myMap is a simple, intuitive tool for delivering interactive mapping capabilities based on a wide variety of geographic information sources. In much the way that Adobe Acrobat works, using myMap , non-technical users can view, explore, and print high-quality maps created using the ArcGIS Publisher extension for ArcMap. Once licensed, myMap is freely distributable and can be delivered with your data for CD–ROM-based publishing of geographic data.

To obtain a copy of the myMap Viewer, download a copy of the installation files above.  The installation files include all of the prerequisites, except ESRI's ArcReader software, which can be downloaded for free from ESRI.  You can learn more about the hardware and software prerequisites here.
