Recently, Dinwiddie County had the good fortune of contracting with the consulting form of WorldView Solutions, Inc. The contract involved a comprehensive countywide Enterprise GIS. As the Assistant County Administrator and Interim County Administrator during this time, I was heavily involved with the project development and implementation. David Thompson, who is the GIS Manager for Dinwiddie County, worked closely with WorldView staff during all phases of the project and was completely satisfied with the performance and workmanship resulting from the final deliverables.
Each member of the Worldview staff was involved at various phases of the eighteen month project (completed in January 2005) and was determined and committed to get the project done correctly to the complete satisfaction of Dinwiddie County. WorldView demonstrated a keen understanding of the methodology and all other facets of developing and enterprise GIS. The proficient knowledge, skills and professionalism throughout, made our project a complete success.
Being new to the world of GIS, Dinwiddie County entrusted WorldView Solutions to guide, lead and develop a product that would benefit many county agencies and the citizenry. WorldView Solutions answered every question, concern, and resolved all issues during and after the development of the enterprise GIS.
In summary, WorldView stands head-and-shoulders above its competitors. Without a doubt, their knowledge of GIS is unsurpassed. It is refreshing in today’s consultant market to have had the opportunity to work with a professional vendor that has a strong commitment, dedication and desire of understanding the client’s needs, committed to getting the job done correctly, within budget, and on schedule. It is my personal and professional opinion that Worldview would be an excellent firm to work with as it relates to any aspect of GIS. We will definitely use them for any future GIS related needs and strongly recommend WorldView to anyone considering contracts related to GIS development.
